The eighth letter was written over several days starting on August 12, 1829 and then sent in a single block on August 25, 1829. Luisa Maumary first married Enrico Blondel, brother of Enrichetta, the first wife of Alessandro Manzoni, and remarried, after the death of Enrico Blondel, in 1835 to Massimo D'Azeglio.
