These are votive frescoes. In the lower section, one can discern a Madonna Enthroned with Child (known as Madonna Regina) of high artistic quality, positioned above an earlier depiction of Saint John the Baptist. The upper section features a Christ Enthroned with the Faithful by an anonymous Lombard master from the early decades of the fourteenth century.
