Nature Trekking and Enological picnic in Miradolo Terme

This is the second stop on our 2026 wine tasting tours, featuring wineries and a chance to explore the local area.
This time, we'll return to Miradolo Terme (Pavia), where, during the first part of the trip, we'll take a short nature hike and then taste the wines of Azienda Agricola Fratelli Guglielmini amidst the vineyards.
SHORT NATURE TREK
During the first part of the trip, a local guide will lead us to discover the Park of the Hill of San Colombano along a trail that will allow us to see examples of the wetland ecosystems present in the area (an example is shown in fig. 2). We will visit springs that are home to various amphibian species, particularly the Lataste's frog (Rana latastei), the agile frog (Rana dalmatina), the edgy frog (Pelophylax spp.), the tree frog (Hyla intermedia cp.), the common toad (Bufo bufo), the green toad (Bufotes balearicus), and the Italian crested newt (Triturus carnifex).
We therefore recommend wearing appropriate clothing, especially shoes!

Start of the trek: 11.00am.
TASTING
Next, we'll head to the equipped area in the middle of one of the farm's vineyards.
The grapes grown on the company's land are: Barbera, Croatina, Chardonnay, Uva Rara, Pinot Noir, Malvasia, Riesling, Cabernet Savignon, Merlot. Here are all the details: Our grapes
The tasting will take place at lunchtime and will coincide with it. The wines will be tasted together with typical products of the area, known not only for its wines but also for its excellent cured meats and fine cheeses, offered on platters for groups of 3/4 people.
This time it will be a picnic, because we will be sitting right in the middle of the vineyards!
In fact, the company will erect gazebos under which tables and chairs will be placed.
Fixed price of the tasting with buffet of typical products: 30 Euros adults, 5 Euros kids.
For the hungriest it will be possible to order cuts at affordable prices.

VISIT OF THE CASTLE OF SAN COLOMBANO
After the tasting, if we wish, we can move to San Colombano to see the town (Fig. 4, 5) and maybe eat an ice cream.
A meeting point will be at the Sondrio stop of the MM3 at 9.20am to divide up the cars.
Anyone who wants can obviously join us directly on site later!

Return to Milan for dinner or after dinner, depending on the inclinations of the participants!
