The foundation of the former Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul dates back to the years between 1598 and 1600. It was built alongside the cloistered monastery of the Nuns of Santa Chiara, built in the city in 1578. It is therefore a convent church. It is also known as the Church of Santa Chiara.
