On the occasion of Milano Leonardo 500 three events dedicated to Leonardo are scheduled in the Sforza Castle to celebrate the five hundred years since his death. 

Events at the Sforza Castle
Castello Sforzesco, Sala delle Asse, 16 May 2019 - 12 January 2020

Once the scaffolding of the restoration was removed, Leonardo's Hall of the wooden boards returns visible and, thanks to a tribune, it is possible to admire the monochrome up close and discover the exceptional traces of preparatory drawing depicting landscape backgrounds, trunks, branches and leaves, emerged during removal some dull layers from the walls. A multimedia installation guides visitors in reading the grandiose work designed to celebrate Ludovico il Moro.
Castello Sforzesco, Sala dei Ducali, 16 May 2019 - 18 August 2019
Around the Hall of the wooden boards. Leonardo between nature, art and science, curated by Claudio Salsi.
The exhibition is designed around a rigorous selection of original drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, Leonardo and other Renaissance artists from important Italian and foreign institutions.

Sforzesco Castle, Weapons Hall, 16 May 2019 - 12 January 2020

A virtual tour leads the visitors to discover Leonardo's places in Milan as the artist had to live them during during his visits in Milan at different times between 1482 and 1512. Thanks to a georeferential visual mapping it is possible to identify how much of these places is still preserved.
