Wednesday 19 February, at 6.30 pm, Kromya Art Gallery, inaugurates the DRIVE-IN exhibition, personal show of the artist Marco Casentini, among the most representative Italian abstract artists of his generation.
The exhibition arrives in Lugano as a stage of the exhibition path that Casentini has been carrying out since 2017 and which has involved Italian and foreign museums and institutions such as the MOAH, Museum of Art and History in Lancaster, the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Science and Technology Museum of Kuwait City.
The daily space of the gallery, with its rooms, will dialogue with the geometric landscapes of the canvases, creating a total work in which the viewer will find himself involved.
It is an artistic research that explores the geometry of spaces through the colors and shapes that create ideal environments in which to recognize oneself.
In "Drive In" there is the memory of the journey "- explains Marco Casentini -" It is an entering into my art and following its contours and sensations. The exhibition space becomes the place where the viewer can perceive the emotions that I have shared. At the same time, since all my works refer to places or travel experiences, Drive In is also a metaphorical reflection on the theme of being in another place ".
