The Sozzani Foundation presents "Masahisa Fukase, Private Scenes" the first Italian retrospective exhibition dedicated to the great Japanese photographer, curated by Foam Fotografiemuseum of Amsterdam in collaboration with Tomio Kosuga, director of Masahisa Fukase Archives.

The work of the Japanese photographer Masahisa Fukase (Hokkaido, 1934-2012) has remained largely inaccessible for over twenty years, following a tragic fall that left him with severe permanent brain damage. After his death, the archives were gradually opened, revealing a large material that had never been shown before. In this ample retrospective presented at the Foam in Amsterdam, original prints from Masahisa Fukase's archives in Tokyo are exhibited, as well as her body of works "Ravens" (crows), important photographic series, publications and documents dating back to the 1960s. 1992.
